Surfskating lesson

As a older adult, I had a bit of apprehension taking up surfskate lessons. However, Dave was a great instructor and really helped me feel at ease during the lesson. His instructions were clear and his pacing of the lesson easy to follow and maintain. His constant encouragement helped me to persevere and soon, I found that I was able to "pump" the board and execute U turns! It was truly an enjoyable session. I would really recommend putting your hesitations aside and give this fun sport a try. I would also highly recommend to have Dave as your instructor as he made the session really fun and enjoyable.

Dave is a patient, knowledgeable, and all-around friendly coach. He goes above and beyond in finding ways to break down surfskate techniques, and sharing his knowledge and experience in surfskating. When it doesn’t click for me, he’ll keep trying out different approaches until it does. He always makes sure that I feel safe and reassured, and gives thoughtful guidance when I try out new things in surfskating (thanks Dave for catching me when I had an almost-bad fall on the slopes!).

Dave had also been incredibly attentive in helping me find my customized Waterborne board. I initially considered another brand, but his extensive explanation of the technology and build behind these boards, and the hands-on riding experience during his class made my decision easy.

I only go for surfskate lessons with Dave now, regularly, and excited for every session!

My friend and I really enjoyed learning surfskating under Dave’s instruction. It was well paced and Dave is really good at explaining the various movements required to ride the surfskate.
