Our Experience

Skating in bowls and pools is written in the genes of these W I D E UMA skateboards. If you were to ask us “Hey guys what’s a recommended board for skating in bowls and pools?”, it’ll be hard not to recommend these awesome UMA boards!

Deck

Let's start with the deck. UMA Landsleds exploded in the skateboarding industry after being founded by ex-Element pro skater Evan Smith together with creative head Thomas Campbell. As such, each UMA Landsleds deck offers unmatched durability; hey you know it's gotta be good if an ex-Element pro skater skates it!

Trucks

Moving down to the trucks, we've paired these skateboards with our very own Skatebruh 5.5" matte black corrosion-resistant high trucks. We chose a wider hanger construction to give riders additional stability when building up speed through each pump. The high truck construction also provides that much more maneuverability, allowing the board to anticipate the curvature of the bowl.

Wheels

To finish off the setup, we've paired our very own Skatebruh 54mm Paragon AF(Anti-Flatspot) Stunt Wheels. Size does matter when it comes to wheels... Ahem, anyways at 54mm in diameter these larger than usual skateboard wheels roll faster than traditional skateboard wheels due to their sheer size. This makes pushing a total breeze making them easier to catch up to speed more quickly. Furthermore, at 101a durometer (a measurement of wheel hardness), these rock-hard wheels keep friction at the bare minimum since they don't stick to the surface of the road, allowing you to roll faster.

We've had plenty of fun testing these boards and we hope you do too! Check out these skateboards by UMA Landsleds today :D

Size Guide

Picking the right skateboard is all about checking out its size, especially how wide it is. The width really makes a difference in how comfy you feel cruising and pulling off tricks. Go too wide, and those quick flips might get tricky; go too narrow, and turning and carving can be a bit of a challenge. So, figuring out the perfect skateboard size that fits your style is key as you kick off your skating journey with us!

Skaters who are into flip tricks and technical moves usually dig boards on the narrower side, like around 7.75 to 8.25 inches. It's all about those lighter weights and quicker spins.

Now, if you're all about big bowls, handrails, or sending it down huge gaps and stairs, you might want to look for a wider board, like 8.25 to 9.0 inches. Wider decks bring that comfy and stable feel, perfect for cruising and getting around. But hey, keep in mind, these wider ones are a bit heavier and won't spin as fast when you're pulling off tricks.

And for the little shredders just starting out, a smaller deck in the 7.0 to 7.5-inch range is the way to roll.
